We are seeking a skilled Infusion RN to join our team at our Medical Oncology clinic situated within ECMC Hospital in the city of Buffalo, NY! This is a full-time role with a Monday – Friday schedule during day-shift hours, offering the added perk of free parking for employees.

Essential Duties of a Registered Nurse:
Facilitates patient continuity of care with the healthcare team in an efficient and timely manner.
Assesses patient needs.
Access patient mediport, perform phlebotomy services, and assist with Chemotherapy counseling.
Assist with medication management by performing medication reconciliation and queueing necessary refills to providers for processing.
Serves as a liaison between providers and patients by assessing patient needs and communicating health information.
Develop and implement a discharge plan of care for patients.
Participates with triage; answering patient calls, assisting patients in determining the urgency of care needed, referring patients to/or scheduling appointments with providers, and providing health information and advice while serving as a liaison between physicians and patients.
Enter orders into the EMR system following the organization’s standing order policy and/or per providers’ written direction.
Complete prior authorizations for medication and diagnostic services.
Completes appropriate and concise documentation.
Assists with rooming patients as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited RN program
Board certification & active NYS License
One year of oncology infusion experience preferred
The ideal candidate will have a passion for taking care of patients with cancer
Experience with an EMR, in this office, we use Allscripts
