Purpose In the role of Registered Nurse you will workcollaboratively with physicians and other clinic staff to provideprofessional nursing care to patients. Provide patient and family healtheducation and health assessment. Primary Functions Working within scopeof license, develop and implement nursing plan of care for patients.Communicate the plan of care to patients as prescribed by physician:test results, scheduling of specialized tests and treatment modalities,prescription drug instructions and other patient education. Documenttreatment in medical record appropriately.Using the nursing process,triage patient concerns via telephone and provide nursing advice.Receive phone calls relating to appointments, urgent care, inpatientadmissions, prescription refills and test results in accordance withclinic protocols and coordinate proper disposition of each. Traige and educate patientsundergoing injections Support the clinic for fluoro-guided proceduresand more involved in-clinic procedures Obtain medication priorauthorizations Help maintain patient flow and workflow. Workcollaboratively as a team member of the clinic staff to provide a highquality and efficient service to patients and clinic. Maintain patientconfidentiality. Assist with clinical trials according to protocol, ifrequired. Knowledge - Skills - Abilities Knowledge of biology, clinicaljudgment, medicine, cultural awareness, and consulting.
