　　Summary:

　　The Registered Nurse must provide nurses care with established guidelines and procedures to individuals with conditions and treatments that are non-critical. They may provide clinical supervision to paraprofessional and direct care personnel to which they are assigned. You will also participate in staff training, prepare clinical and administrative reports, maintain infection control standards and function as a member of a treatment team. Nurse is needed for all 3 shifts and to include weekends.

　　Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:Provide professional nursing services which may include, but are not limited to, nursing interventions and their documentation, case finding, health teaching/counseling and provision of supportive and/or restorative care.Participate in staff training, prepare clinical and administrative reports, maintain infection control standards, and function as a member of a treatment team. You may also act as a charge nurse on a unit or in a residence, or as house or unit supervisor in a nursing home.Assuring that the safety and physical comfort of the patient are meet as well as the patient's emotional and spiritual needs.Performing nursing procedures for which his or her training has provided the necessary skills and judgment.Assisting with the rehabilitation of patients according to the care plan directed by the physician.Observing and recording all pertinent information and reporting to the appropriate supervisor and physician.Medication management.Completes documentation as required and in accordance with the facilities' policy.Accurately report patient status to supervisor.Consistently practice standard precautions.Performs all duties promptly in a competent and caring manner.Maintain good communication among patients/residents and all healthcare personnel.Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Ability to operate and handle many kinds of medical equipment.Frequently move/lift between 50-100 pounds, depending on assignment requirements.Stand for long periods with frequent squatting, twisting, bending, kneeling and reaching to prepare equipment, materials or objects in order to provide patient care or maintain the patient environment.Complies with all facilities' policies, procedures, and practices.Assists with transfers and ambulation. Requirements: Currently a Registered Nurse in New York StateMust be fully vaccinated against COVID 19 and comply with any testing and future vaccine mandates.Shift: Tuesdays-Saturday - 2 pm to 10 pm (Sunday-Monday- Off)
