They will work on an initiative called Minnesota Million(MM) - a vision to reforest large swaths of Minnesota throughcollaboration with a broad and inclusive group of coalition partners. Thisinitiative includes a new dedicated effort to increase and improve the qualityof tree seeds and seedlings available in Minnesota. The Coordinator willassist with administration of a newly-awarded $5M USDA Partnerships forClimate Smart Commodities grant ("Climate Smart Seedling ProductionNetwork") designed to promote higher quality tree seed collectionand tree stock production in the state of MN. The Coordinator will be criticalin the launch of this new program. Experience administering grant fundsfor projects, especially government grants, including experience withreporting, financial tracking, and project updates. Experience buildingand maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues and a varietyof partners. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experienceusing common software applications such as Word, Excel, web browsers,etc. Project management expertise and attention to detail and deadlines. Inaddition, the following DESIRED skills and/or experiences would be anasset for this role but are not required. or applicants without these,please view these as areas or skillsets where you will have opportunities forgrowth and professional development: Experience building trustingrelationships as a liaison between organizations and marginalized orunderrepresented communities.
