About Recovery Representative I (Tier II)

Description

We are offering an employment opportunity for a Recovery Representative I Hybrid in Rochester, New York. This role is within the telecom industry and requires the individual to ensure accurate and timely resolution of all bank returned items and provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers. The position is part of an office management function and requires the ability to handle client objections, manage returns to completion, and maintain department policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Resolve all bank returned items accurately and in a timely manner.

• Provide quality customer service to both internal and external customers.

• Educate clients, branches, and product areas on the resolution process and provide alternate service options when necessary.

• Develop and maintain basic knowledge of various products and services to accurately make decisions on the revenue.

• Research and resolve product and service issues from the field and clients.

• Handle returns, resolutions, and inbound phone requirements to meet departmental standards.

• Handle the daily EDI payment report to ensure accuracy and timeliness of updates to avoid penalty assessment.

• Handle the daily payroll hold report to ensure accuracy and timeliness of updates to avoid service-related issues.

• Evaluate client status to determine the appropriate service they are approved to use and mitigate risk and exposure.

• Participate in ongoing training to enhance knowledge and skills.

• Ensure adherence to the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act NACHA and other regulatory agencies.

Requirements • Demonstrable experience in an Office Manager role or similar

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Internet usage

• Strong customer service skills, with experience in a call center environment

• Ability to handle inbound calls and provide solutions to external customers

• Solid understanding of finance, payroll, and revenue accounting

• Experience in implementing and maintaining office procedures and practices

• Knowledge of compliance and mitigation strategies

• Familiarity with training staff members and ensuring accuracy in their work

• Experience with collection processes, debt collection, and recovery

• Ability to manage benefit functions and workers' compensation claims

• Knowledge of electronic data interchange (EDI) and department policies

• Strong research and analysis skills

• Experience with garnishments and debit card processes

• Must be able to legally work in the hiring country

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• High school degree or equivalent; higher degree in a relevant discipline will be appreciated
