Reclaim operator: Position Grade C
Position Objective
Safely and efficiently operate all equipment to obtain yield and quantity goals while maintaining a clean work environment. Oversee employees reporting to this position.
Duties & Responsibilities
Demonstrate safe work habits.
Report unsafe acts or conditions to Sr. Lead.
Ensure equipment is in safe working order.
Follow lock out when needed.
Attends site training meetings.
Ensure resin quality procedures are followed with assistance.
Identify different product types with assistance.
Ensure segregation of product types with assistance.
Run extruder with assistance.
Ensure information is passed on during shift change.
Complete and turn in all required paperwork.
Operator forklift and maintain up- to- date forklift license.
Ensures housekeeping and housekeeping checklist are maintained during shift.
Comply with Recycling Program.
Comply with Plant safety regulations and good manufacturing practices.
Must have regular, reliable attendance and willing to work outside the regular schedule as required.
Willing to handle job stress and interact with others in the workplace.
Physical Activity Required For This Position
Climbing, ascending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized.
Balancing, maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces.
Stooping, bending body downward by bending spine and waist. Example: Changing paper in printer, copier machine.
Kneeling, bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
Crouching, bending the body downward and forward by bending legs and spine.
Crawling, moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.
Reaching, extending hands(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Example: giving signals, reaching for material or handle on item.

Required Qualifications

Coordinate lock out when needed.
Ensure all employees perform work in a safe manner.
Attends site training meetings.
Ensure resin quality procedures are followed.
Identify quality defects and correct them.
Identify different product types.
Ensure segregation of product types.
Prepare in advance for Extrusion and Slitting products.
Run extruder without Supervision.
Troubleshoot problems on Reclaim equipment.
Ensure information is passed on during shift change.
Supports continual improvement program.
Complete and turn in all required paperwork.
Assist A, B, & C operators.
Coordinate with Extrusion on Reclaim status.
Organize all resin boxes on floor.
Operator forklift and maintain up- to- date forklift license.
Ensures housekeeping and housekeeping checklist are maintained and completed throughout shift.
Ensures Recycling areas are maintained and procedures are followed.
Comply with Plant safety regulations and good manufacturing practices.
