Introduction to BlueOval City
Ford is investing $5.6 billion to build its state-of-the art manufacturing facilities at BlueOval City in West Tennessee. The Tennessee Electric Vehicle Center will produce the next generation electric truck with production beginning in 2025. On 3,600 acres, we are building our first mega campus in more than a generation – and it’s electric. This brand-new facility will use Ford’s 100-years of automobile manufacturing expertise and will be among the largest automotive manufacturing campuses in U.S. history. Like the iconic Rouge complex in Michigan did a century earlier, BlueOval City will usher in a new era for American manufacturing and will harness Ford’s global manufacturing expertise and innovative technologies. BlueOval City embodies the transformational Ford+ plan for growth and value creation in combining existing strengths and new capabilities. BlueOval City aspires to have 100% renewable energy, zero waste to landfill and reusing water to help make sure our planet is in it for the long haul.
