Description:
We are looking to add a full-time Quality Technician to a long-term consulting engagement with one of our well-known customers in the heavy-equipment sector in Greencastle, PA. This will be a first shift position (6am-230pm M-F with occasional overtime) The position will come with PTO and Holidays as well as medical/dental/vision insurance. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a forward thinking team of highly skilled technicians and engineers in an R and D environment. Job Description and Responsibilities This role will work alongside other technicians and engineers from cross-functional teams in a Research and Development (R and D) environment. The main duties will revolve around inspection and validation work of mechanical assemblies, tooling, and welds for new products. Duties may include: • Inspection • Operate CMM (coordinate measuring machines) • Generate data using Romer Arm or Laser Tracker measuring system • Generate reports of data based on print tolerances • Assemble prototype tooling components using manual, air and electric mechanics tools • Use a press to complete small sub-assemblies of tooling components • Read complex prints and identify errors, opportunities for improvement and suggestions for ease of assembly. • Take direction from Tooling / Quality Lead on a day-to-day basis. • Work with other team members to perform run-off of parts through tooling, adjusting as necessary • Provide weekly updates on project status

Desired Skills and Abilities • Inspection Experience Required • Ability to operate CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) • Ability to read micrometers, calipers, tape measure and any manual inspection equipment. • Ability to interpret inspection data and adjust tooling where necessary with shims or adjustment screws • Ability to read blueprints • Computer skills required; Microsoft word, excel, power point and email • Works well with others in team environment, 3-5 people • Takes direction daily and can manage multiple tasks at the same time
