Job Summary
The Radiology Quality Improvement Coordinator is responsible for establishing and maintaining a system wide Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement program that evolves to meet departmental goals and regulatory requirement. The coordinator will provide leadership, facilitation, and coordination performance improvement, quality, and regulatory compliance initiatives. Collaborates frequently with the department faculty and operations leadership to collect and analyze data, develop and implement action plans, run projects, and manage dashboards that contribute to improving patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
Job Duties
Safety Report Monitoring
Collaborate with managers to address safety event reports, identify trends and develop processes to reduce recurrence.
Develop and maintain trending reports for monthly leadership team review
Coordinate and/or lead investigative activities with risk management, guest relations, PI staff as indicated
Data Analysis and Reporting
Documents department performance against established benchmarks including critical results
Analyze collected data, recommend improvement, collaborate with leadership to manage quality and performance improvement projects
Quality/Performance Improvement
Coordinate and analyze data from radiologist peer review documentation.
Coordinate and facilitate Quality Improvement/Performance Improvement and Regulatory review meeting
Assists in development and coordinates the implementation of performance improvement programs in service line modalities.
Reviews and monitors occurrences, quality triggers and quality of care concerns observing for problems or patterns affecting the quality of care. Assists the team(s) in development of improvement processes.
Assists in development of collection tools, collection, and analysis.
Performs required audits as well as specific requested audits.
Coordinates with medical health physics in the review of machine quality control, reject patterns and advises sites as necessary.
Regulatory Compliance
Facilitates annual policy and guideline reviews; Serves as department resource for policy development
Collaborates with department leadership to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, tracks deficiencies and coordinates action plan development
Assists in the preparation of Joint Commission, Department of Health, Department of Environmental Protection, and other surveys participating as requested.

Position Details
ARRT, CNMT, or RDMS certification required upon hire.
2 years experience preferred of imaging specific regulatory compliance coordination and process improvement/project coordination.
*Relevant experience may be a combination of related work experience and degree obtained (Associate’s Degree = 2 years; Bachelor’s Degree = 4 years).

Minimum of 5 years-Related work experience (Required), Minimum of 1 year-Managerial/Supervisory (Preferred)
