Job Description
Must Haves:
* 5-8+ years of expereince overseeing construction quality control.
o Expereince reviewing proposal and design specifications, overseeing contractor construction, report righting, and client updating.
* 2-5+ YOE on remediation projects -- soil excavations, backfill and restoration, storm water pollution prevention, etc.
o Civil Construction -- landfill closure, mind remediation, soil dig and haul, engineering slope criteria, landfill cap design, thermal remediation.
o Environmental -- remedial investigations & site characterizations, corrective/remedial action, in situ chemical oxidation injection, designing groundwater treatment plants, soil vapor system, ground water pump and treat.
* BA/ BS in Engineering, Geology, Chemistry, Science, or related academic field.
* 5+ YOE supporting Federal projects -- EPA Superfund sites, USACE, USAF, DOE, NASA etc.
Pluses:
* QCM
* USACE, EPA
* OSHA 30
* HAZWOPER
* RMS / ECMS software experience (USACE & NAVFAC software)
Skills and Requirements
Responsibilities:
* Interfacing with program and project managers, senior technical staff, the government customer, and project field personnel including subcontractors
* Performing as site lead for USACE Construction Quality Control compliance, documentation, and reporting
* Reviewing specifications, drawings, project deliverables, and ongoing construction activities to assure compliance to appropriate plans & requirements
* Confirming that all materials and equipment have been tested and approved for use per the applicable specifications.
* Performing daily checks to assure control activities, including testing/compliance, and documenting all results
* Conducting completion inspections (punch-out, pre-final and final acceptance)
* Maintaining current records and providing factual evidence that required quality control activities and/or tests have been performed
* Determining, communicating, and documenting deficiencies and ensuring they are corrected in a timely manner.
* Uploading and management of the USACE Resident Management System (RMS). null
