　　Amazon Devices is an inventive research and development company that designs and engineers high-profile consumer electronics. Amazon Devices began in 2004 as a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc., originally creating the best-selling Kindle family of products. Since then, Amazon Devices has produced groundbreaking devices like Fire tablets, Fire TV, Amazon Echo, and Dash Button. The Fire OS team is a big part of creating these innovative devices at Amazon Devices. The Fire OS team is responsible for the board bring up, low level software, operating system, core framework feature development, and end-to-end system functions, such as power/performance, that bring the devices to life. For many devices, the Fire OS team takes the open source Android distribution and productizes the software on Amazon hardware. For devices that don’t run Fire OS, the Fire OS team is responsible for the low-level software. The software built by the Fire OS team runs on all Amazon devices.

　　The Role:

　　In this role, you will:

　　Create test plans and test cases for our Fire TV product line

　　Review product user interface for conformity to design guidelines

　　Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution

　　Interpret and report testing results, and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process

　　Work with domain Quality Assurance Engineers to understand the overall platform test plan and test cases

　　Leading and response for key feature’s quality

　　-Work with SoC vendor QA to control vendor code drop quality

　　-Engage in program to make sure platform SW quality

　　The potential candidate must be very familiar to uses technical expertise to create test plans and design test solutions for complex scenarios. Familiar with SW quality metrics and criteria. Learning to force multiply. Escalates effectively. Able to find a path forward in difficult situations. Makes trade-offs between short-term needs vs. long-term needs.

　　A day in the life

　　The QA PM will work closely with platform domain QA, SoC vendor, TPM, SW developer and other teams within Amazon, on the test strategy definition, project test execution, SW quality metrics and criteria definition to make sure product delivery with high quality.

　　About the team

　　Platform QA PM team is leading 1P products Factory Software Stability Test (FSST), 3P products OBA process deployment, ODM QA management, SoC Vendor QA management and platform QA test/quality management across Tablet, Smart TV, SMP, Automotive, E-Reader and Echo MM.

　　Basic Qualifications

　　Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent

　　7+ years of software QA testing experience with black and grey box functional testing

　　Experience on embedded system and Android OS.

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　Experience preparing quality metrics and effectively engaging with stakeholders to set and drive quality goals

　　Experience on SW test management and quality management
