This position is a temporary internship role from roughly May 2024-September 2024 Position Objective: Responsible for purchasing of direct materials from various suppliers. This will entail placing of purchase orders, following up with suppliers on delivery issues and expediting parts as needed. This position will also be responsible for ensuring planning settings and material data within SAP is up to date. Responsibilities: Complete defined daily standard work for production plant and distribution plant for assigned parts and suppliers. This will include monitoring of component inventory and reacting to exception messages and documenting notes in SAP Manage and maintain accurate master data in SAP including responsibility for updating, reviewing and maintaining all relevant purchasing parameters and ensuring Plan for Every Part (PFEP) is accurate and driving improvements in supplier parameters. Place purchase orders with suppliers and manage suppliers to meet committed delivery dates. Communicate changes in purchase order needs and update PO's accordingly. Proactively communicate potential line interruptions to planners and operations as well ETA 's Identify and participate in improvements projects within the Procurement area. Performs other duties and assumes accountabilities as apparent or as delegated, including mutually agreed upon objectives Relationship To Others: Establish effective working relationships with other departments to ensure the smooth transition of information. Dimensions of Position: Responsible for the procurement of direct materials including communication and improvement of suppliers. Also responsible for planning settings and material master data of assigned parts. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Education Working towards supply chain degree Experience Prior internship experience or 6 months in supply chain.
