Organization & Role
The Teradyne Operations team is looking for a highly-motivated, energetic, driven Planner to focus on material plans that support our customers with on time delivery. The Planner must be a driven problem solver to support customer requests, and project plans while working to reduce lead-time and cost. The planner must ensure that plans are met while working to minimize excess and obsolescence. The planner must be a strong communicator to describe a material plan that supports the customer and describe the costs and risks to do so to Senior Management.
Responsibilities
• Establish inventory strategies that support business objectives of on time delivery while minimizing excess and obsolescence
• Ability to work with global supply base to align material to support build plans
• Escalate and resolve critical issues within the supply chain
• Quickly respond to any changes in customer requests by doing supply chain simulations and analysis with suppliers to provide the best delivery date possible
• Work with suppliers as well as internal teams to reduce material lead-times and cost
• Ability to clearly communicate to Senior Management
Basic Qualifications & Skills
• Strong understanding of MRP tools
• Experience with simulation software (Kinaxis is a plus)
• Experience with MS Office
• Experience working with Contract Manufacturing
• Experience working with global supply-chains
• Excellent problem solving
• Solid verbal and written skills
• Commitment to excellence, efficiency, and product quality
• Solid presentation skills
• Ability to identify problems then recommend a solution and implement
Education
• BS in Business Administration/Industrial Engineering
• Minimum of years of supply chain or planning experience
