To quote a popular saying at TNC, "you'll join for the mission, and you'll stay for the people."WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHERThe Project Portfolio Management Specialist will provide project management support and content messaging coordination for Global Marketing and Communications (GMC) priority projects, serving as a key connection and coordination point among priority projects to ensure cohesive practices and improve collaboration. They will outline and track the processes related to GMC portfolio to ensure alignment with objectives and performance against established success metrics. The Project Portfolio Management Specialist is responsible for outlining and tracking the processes related to the GMC portfolio. They implement and manage best practices in project management, facilitate communication and connection, strengthen collaborations with central Marketing and Communications (MAC) teams, and share learnings GMC-wide to improve outputs of our external-facing projects.They will oversee and evolve GMC's Asana and Jira use to align with the MAC division, actively tracking with all project owners to understand where additional guidance or resources may be needed. They will also manage select vendors and temporary staff offering team-wide services, and lead on related contract negotiations and administration. On the content front, they will curate high-level messaging across the team for central reference and build social media packs and web pages for select priority projects. The Project Portfolio Management Specialist will also work closely with the Analytics team in production of GMC's quarterly reports to measure success.As the Project Portfolio Management Specialist, you will: Track the team's full portfolio and identify opportunities for project efficiency, sharing best practices/tools and hosting related trainings and office hours sessions. Leads the project management of select initiatives. Actively manages the full team Asana project calendar, aligning with MAC use and following up with project leads to ensure all listings include status updates and links to related resources. Tracks incoming Jira tickets from GMC team to central MAC colleagues to identify efficiencies for collaboration and ensure quality control. Contributes to development of social copy, web page layouts, and other content production for priority projects. Manages select vendor relationships and temp agency production staff. Performs contract administration related to select project needs, fo lowing all standard operating procedures of the MAC division. Collaborates with Analytics team to produce quarterly reports covering performance of high-priority projects across GMC's portfolio. Curates key team-wide resources for reference, such as high-level messaging for 2030 Pathway areas. Resolves issues independently and in collaboration with other teams as systems solutions are warranted. Opportunity to act independently within scope of role. Occasional travel is required. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate's actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience.
