In this position, the ideal candidate will successfully communicate and schedule with our Construction Material staff from client requests and project management team. This position supports our office as the logistical facilitator from client requests to action with our field staff that provide quality assurance, material testing services and special inspection requirements as outlined by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
Construction materials technicians, inspectors, engineers, and project management work as a team for our clients for soils, concrete, masonry, structural steel, and asphalt services among other specialty services related to construction quality control and assurance. These services provide key oversight and analysis for all parties involved, which also includes the end users – the public. This role heavily relies on clear communication, ability to facilitate job duties to staff and to be the voice of our organization to our clients.
The duties include logging incoming scheduling requests, arranging projects in priority of need and dispatching projects to appropriate staff. Applicant must be able to resolve customer inquires via email, phone, and conference call. Applicant shall work to promote a positive view of Terracon by participating in continuous-improvement and sustain an Incident and Injury-Free (IIF) workplace. Applicant will interface from our Lenexa office to support our staff and clients.
This position will also serve as a key contributor to the office for the catalog, servicing, and procurement of equipment and fleet vehicles for the Materials Department. Ideal applicants will have experience in serving similarly in past work experience.
Successful applicants will have history of performing customer service roles, and utilizing Microsoft Products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel. Applicant must have a valid driver’s license, pass a background check, and have past work experiences. Applicants that have previous construction experience will reviewed first in priority.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
1 year of previous experience in customer service is required
Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
