Just like every drop counts, at Badger Meter every employeecounts because our contributions have a lasting impact on the world!What You Will Contribute: Set up, assist and/ or operate conventional,special-purpose, computer and numerical control CNC machines tofabricate metallic and non-metallic parts by applying knowledge ofmachine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, and layouttechniques. The CNC Machinist will also be responsible for the followingmain accountabilities: Work from detailed instructions, blueprints,sketches, drawings, manuals, and specifications. Sample part todetermine dimensions and tolerance of finished work piece. Verifyconformance of finished work piece to specifications, using precisionmeasuring instruments. Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions andreference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequentmachining Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctionsor out of tolerance machining. Adjusts machine controls, offsets,fixtures and stops as required. Set up and operate machine on trial runto verify accuracy of machine settings. Qualifications : High Schooldegree or equivalent 1-3 years of Lathe experience, ability tomodify/optimize CNC programs Physical Requirements: Depending onassigned department must be able to meet the following physicalrequirements.
