Summary: Collects percentage complete information on construction contract components, prepares construction billing using AIA documents; collects outstanding monies; assists in credit approval process; interacts with Tindall Project Managers and external customers on a regular basis. Works with attorneys and bonding companies as needed to collect monies.
Duties & Responsibilities: Tracks changed orders and pending change orders to ensure they are properly approved and billed. Prepares construction invoices using AIA documents or customer provided software such as Textura. Collects monies from customers, primarily General Contractors. Collection efforts include calls, emails, and maintenance of "Call Logs" by project. Tracks lien and bonding rights to ensure they do not expire. Prepares revision invoices and updates General Ledger and AR Trial Balance. Verifies revisions are approved through discussions with project management and/or customers. Prepares year-end job package for each contract worked on during the year to include Schedule of Values, signed changed orders, and billing summaries. Gathers project completions percentages monthly from Engineering, Production, Trucking, Erection and Field Service Personnel for each open project. Verifies percentages with Project Managers. Tracks and reconciles billed and unbilled retainage. Ensures lien rights do not expire. Enters invoices into the General Ledger, prepares AR Trial Balance and reconciles. Meets with Project Managers monthly to discuss current project and payment status and to determine action plans for problem accounts. Prepares monthly financial reports, unbilled and billed retainage by project reports, and billing spreadsheet by division.

Associates degree or 1 -3 years (+) prior experience in construction billing and accounting.
