Our team sources food solutions for 900K+ Amazon Associates across 1000+ sites across NA. Food services includes canteen, vending, smart fridges, mini markets and others, creating the right environment for our employees to increase productivity and sense of belonging.
We are seeking for a Category Manager to help us strategize and deliver best in class procurement practices to source and manage our canteen, vending and other food solutions.
The position will collaborate with multiple teams to develop and execute category sourcing strategies, supplier management, savings and will focus in our four core strategies in food services:

Key job responsibilities
Collaborate and earn trust with key stakeholders across Operations, Human Resources, Finance, and other functions.
Know the industry, key players, macro-economic factors, social trends, pricing models and all relevant information to influence an educated decision making process.
Drive sourcing events (RFx) end to end, from planning, executing the event, awards, deployment, change management.
Ensure proper performance management mechanisms are in place to secure success of our solutions, defining together with the stakeholders such definitions and metrics.
Negotiate with suppliers key terms and conditions, incorporating strategic angles such as innovation, sustainability, supplier diversity and others.
Secure appropriate mitigation plans are in place to cover risks or act under unplanned events.
Incorporate cost efficiency methods to secure optimal pricing conditions for Amazon and interlocks with finance.
Act as an escalation point for performance improvement requirements.
Prepare scope documents, project management, communication plans, variation agreements, etc.
Develop relationships with suppliers and identify potential partnerships.
Develop alternative sources to help maintain a competitive atmosphere.
Lead and or participate on teams planning, developing and implementing new tools and improvement of standard processes to support Amazon’s purchasing functions.

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of program or project management experience
3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
2+ years of supply chain experience
Bachelor's degree
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
3+ years of driving process improvements experience
Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $62,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $150,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
