Job Description:
The Office of Undergraduate Education ( OUE ) seeks a Program Specialist I to serve as a critical program manager in the Student Success Center. The Program Specialist role assists in the day-to-day operations of the Academic Success Coaching ( ASC ) Program and associated workshop series. Under the general supervision of the Student Success Center Assistant Director, the ASC Program Specialist is responsible for the planning and implementation of the ASC program, which serves as a general resource for any undergraduate seeking support in various school-related topics such as time and stress management, note taking, goal setting, etc. The Program Specialist will hire a team of student leaders and be responsible for the initial and ongoing training of the team as well as the day-to-day operations of the program. In addition to their specific program duties, the Program Specialist will be given many other opportunities to develop content for student academic enrichment throughout the year. Attendance at University events in the evening and on weekends on occasion requested by supervisor. This position is eligible for limited remote work opportunities after training is complete.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, with a minimum of four years of experience in program/project development or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master’s Degree Preferred in Education, Student Development or related field. Two (2) years of experience in program/project development in a higher education setting. Experience supervising staff is preferred. Willingness to learn higher education software such as PeopleSoft, Qualtrics, Accademia, and Blackboard. Be detail-oriented and have strong written and oral communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty in the course of work

Type with sufficient skill to enter data into a computer and produce correspondence, reports or promotional materials
