The Defect Prevention and Reconciliation (DP&R) organization builds innovative technical products that recognize, reconcile, and prevent exceptions within Amazon's fulfillment supply chain. We are building a future where we capture, analyze, and explain every inventory defect across all stages of the supply chain (i.e. inbound, distribution, storage, fulfillment, returns). The Defect Reduction Program team, within DP&R is composed of three key defect prevention verticals: defects that exist before they arrive to Amazon, defects that occur within Amazon's fulfillment network, or defects that lead to customer returns. Our team within Defect Reduction is responsible for vendor compliance and management. The Team's goal is to increase efficiency and accuracy in inbound receive by removing vendor defects and simplifying the process for our vendors. We own receive related infractions generating chargebacks levied to vendors and the vendor engagement process for NA supply chain for defects created during the inbound receive process.This role is responsible for managing the infraction logic and driving programs in at least one of these verticals, driving step function reductions in defect performance to deliver lower costs to Amazon customers. You will have the opportunity to design/modify system to accurately identify defects and effectively change fault owners' behavior at scale. You will create a long-term vision for the space, propose new ideas for processes that help eliminate the vendor defects, and partner with and influence key stakeholders to build automated systems to eliminate these pain-points at its source. Independent and flexible with strong communication skills, the successful candidate will have a strong customer focus and experience in data analysis, and project management. Keys to success include a strong motivation to dive deep into root causes and improve processes.
