[The Southern Indiana Development Commission is hiring a community minded person to assist our Environmental Division. The Environmental Division works to eliminate blighted properties through cleanup or rehabilitation. SIDC performs these functions through multiple programs including Land Banking, Home Renovation, Rental Renovation and Environmental Review services. SIDC is a regional planning organization and works across multiple Counties but primarily for Daviess, Greene, Knox, Lawrence and Martin Counties.
[This is a full-time position that requires excellent oral and written communication skills, time management skills, attention to detail, ability to work well with others individually and in groups and manage multiple workload priorities. Strong computer skills are required.
[Experience in regional planning, public administration, business management, real estate, or related field is preferred and knowledge and/or experience with federal and/or state programs is helpful but not required. SIDC has a great ability to train and with the right, enthusiastic candidate can train to meet the expectations of the position.
