About PROGRAM ANALYST

  Summary This National Guard position is for a PROGRAM ANALYST, Position Description Number T5115000 and is part of the NJ G4 SMM, National Guard. Responsibilities As a PROGRAM ANALYST, GS-0343-9, you will: Manage the evaluation program. Assist in the development of directives. Identify problems, reviews production standard. Conduct studies of work processes and procedures. Recommend internal reporting and status tracking procedures. Review reports and studies to ensure that user requirements are met. Analyze evaluation results on both a quantitative and qualitative basis. Evaluate the effectiveness of substantive unit programs and processes. Develop process, management, administrative, and technical evaluation plans. Requirements Conditions of Employment Additional Employment Requirements: -Participation in direct deposit is mandatory -May be required to successfully complete a probationary period -Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation -Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service Areas of Consideration CAT 8, US Citizens THIS IS A TEMPORARY position T5: This position is projected for one year and may be extended. This position is only available until incumbent returns from military orders, or funding is exhausted. This position will not extend past four (4) years Qualifications GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience in the following: Using of computers and automation systems Interpreting process and principles of management Developing, analyzing, and evaluating all administrative and technical issues SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 24 months of specialized experience in the following: Analyzing and interpret policies and the procedures Presenting and discuss complex matters in a clear and convincing manner Communicating with people from various backgrounds and circumstances Knowledge of the National Guard organizational structures, functions, procedures, and techniques Education Additional Information If you are a male applicant who was born after 12/31/1959 and are required to register under the Military Selective Service Act, the Defense Authorization Act of 1986 requires that you be registered or you are not eligible for appointment in this agency (https://www.sss.gov/RegVer/wfRegistration.aspx). THIS IS A TEMPORARY position T5: This position is projected for one year and may be extended. This position is only available until incumbent returns from military orders, or funding is exhausted. NOTE: If the individual selected is currently on a Title 10 or Title 32 tour no action can be taken until he/she is released from tour. In accordance with DOD Instruction 1402.01 (Employment of Retired Members of the Armed Forces), a retired member of an active duty component cannot be hired for civilian positions in the competitive and excepted service within 180 days of retirement without an approved TAG waiver packet
