  Reference #: 4338483THE POSITIONThis position is responsible for the independent management of PSERS' and PMRS' administrative appeals and appellate court litigation. The position requires significant interaction with members and attorneys, coordination with the PSERS Office of Chief Counsel and supervision of legal interns in conjunction with the appeal process.

  DESCRIPTION OF WORKThe Administrative Officer 1 will work as a team member support staff for attorneys in the Office of Chief Counsel.  This will involve start to finish the appeal process relating to PSERS members.  This position serves as liaison for Office of Chief Counsel, school districts, members and internal staff.

  Project, daily work and special assignments are received through general instructions or through employee initiative and are performed with considerable independence. Completed work is reviewed through meetings, as necessary, with supervisor and appropriate staff.

  Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment.Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection.   QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; orAny equivalent combination of experience and training.
