The Permanency Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing Families United Network, Inc.'s adoption & permanency program which provides services to foster children, foster families, and provider agencies. The Permanency Specialist will assist agency staff and foster families in completing adoptions for foster children freed for adoption and or seeking permanency.

Responsibilities:
Function as a resource person to Case Managers and agency foster families about adoption & permanency issuesWork with foster care and adoptive families regarding adoption and permanency issues, such as transracial adoptionsSchedule and provide Adoption Orientation trainings to familiesAttend adoption finalization hearingsAssist in the planning, coordinating, and participation in events aimed at promoting and/or celebrating adoption and permanencyAttend agency required meetingsRequirements:
Bachelor's Degree RequiredDegree in social work or related field preferredTwo years' experience working with children and/or families preferredEligibility under current PA legal and regulatory requirementsValid PA Driver's LicenseState Police, FBI, and Child Abuse Clearance are required for this position and will be paid for by the agencyBenefits:
