  Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is seeking a Production Engineering Manager (Level K) to lead an integrated team of Liaison Engineers (Product Review Engineers) and Manufacturing Engineers in Tukwila, WA .

  This position primarily supports the B1 program, with additional support for KC-46 and P8 Production Engineering teams as needed. This position is in direct support of the fatigue test and ongoing development of repair solutions and build plans. It is a dynamic role requiring the ability to adapt to incoming customer requests in addition to supporting development processes and production for fleet aircraft . This manager will lead a diverse team performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Production Engineering. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. This manager provides oversight and approval of technical decisions, products and processes, including priority determination and coordination with program leaders. The manager will staff and direct a technical team in establishing group goals, manage budgets and monitor group performance against program and functional commitments and developing technical employees within the group.

  Primary Responsibilities:

  Leads, engages, develops and motivates employees.

  Collaborate with internal and external customers, including government agencies and suppliers/partners, to resolve issues impacting airplane build, test and delivery.

  Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.

  Monitor group performance relative to program and functional commitments and developing technical employees within the group.

  Adjust work hours as appropriate to manage employees supporting required shifts and support weekend rotations and daily overtime as required.

  This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Tukwila, WA location.

  This position requires the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance post start, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required.

  Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

  Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering (ABET preferred).

  2+ years of experience in Production Engineering.

  2+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role.

  Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):

  5 + years of experience working in factory and/or production environments.

  Experience with Material Review Board / Liaison Engineering (MRB / LE) Authority (including participating in Material Review Board and Integrated Product Team activities related to aircraft structures).

  Ability to adapt to changing scope, responsibilities and job requirements.

  Experience working with cross-functional teams.

  Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

  Summary pay range: $138,550 - $187,450
