We have immediate openings for full time, Entry Level, Materials TestingTechnician(s) to be based at our Easton, Massachusetts office and workon construction projects throughout the area. To thrive in this role youwill not need experience - we will train you and pay you while youlearn. You\'ll typically be working Monday through Friday, withoccasional weekend work based on project needs. You can expect someearly mornings and late evenings with regular overtime during theconstruction season. Most days you will drive to construction sites andperform field tests on materials like concrete, soil, aggregate,asphalt, grout, mortar, and steel. You will often be the only S.W.COLEteam member on job sites but you will interact with many people fromother companies. The work can be physical at times: you will lift andcarry samples of various construction materials including soil andconcrete, walk through construction sites, or push a wheelbarrow. Wecomplete this type of work year-round. Safely conducting yourself andthe equipment we entrust to you is a must. S.W.COLE prioritizes andinvests in the safety of it\'s Team members, so you will be providedwith what you need to be safe on job sites including safety-toe boots.To perform this job you will need to do some basic math and write ortype your observations and test results, and regularly utilize acomputer or tablet. Along the way you will learn to read and understanddesign plans and specifications. When your not in the field you willwork in our laboratory or be training for more certifications.
