Robert Half Marketing Creative is looking for a production designer for one of our clients in Charlotte, NC!

Job Overview:

The Production Designer will be responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing various design assets, with a focus on high-quality PDF outputs. This role requires a creative eye combined with technical expertise to ensure all production materials meet brand standards and are ready for both print and digital distribution. The ideal candidate should possess strong design sensibilities, proficiency in PDF production, and an ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and produce high-quality PDFs for marketing collateral, presentations, catalogs, manuals, and other documentation.

Ensure all designs follow brand guidelines and are optimized for print and digital formats.

Collaborate with marketing, creative, and product teams to deliver assets on time.

Review and adjust designs based on feedback, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all outputs.

Maintain and organize digital assets and templates for easy accessibility and future use.

Optimize PDFs for different platforms, ensuring file sizes, quality, and usability are aligned with project needs.

Troubleshoot and solve issues related to design production, file management, and print-ready file preparation.

Manage multiple projects with tight deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field.

3+ years of experience in production design, with a focus on PDF creation and management.

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and other design tools.

Strong understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and design principles.

Experience in optimizing PDFs for print and digital distribution.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well in a collaborative environment.

Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.

Experience in pre-press production is a plus.
