About PRODUCTION CONTROLLER

  Summary You will serve as a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER in the Radiological Control Office of PSNS and IMF. Responsibilities You will provide the Resource Branch Manager with objectively based information for making decisions relative to personnel, administrative, and budgetary decisions for the Radiological Monitoring Division. Your will conduct a variety of studies related to programs, process, and functions of the Division. You will develop workload and manpower projections, evaluate, and recommend solutions to cost overruns. You will report imbalances of project workload, improvements to operational and work process problems and initiatives and evaluate disparities in expended man days to the original estimates. You will complete written reports, charts, graphs and/or briefings to upper level supervisors and managers and recommend changes to organizational and staffing structures. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying production control methods, principles, and practices to analyze production operations (e.g., programs, processes, functions, cost controls) and recommend improvements (e.g., prevent or alleviate production delays, scheduling conflicts, insufficient materials, faulty processes, labor shortages, skilled trade imbalances, efficient use of resources). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. This position requires rotating shift work. This position requires exposure to high noise levels.
