Production Assistant Job in Pittsfield, MA Production Assistant(Embroidery and Screen Printing), Direct Placement Salary: \$19/hr(dental and health coverage option after completing 6-9 months ofemployment. (increase in pay with performance growth) Location:Pittsfield, MA Hours: Mon-Fri. 8:30a - 4:30p, full-time, occasionalSaturday 9a-2p TEC is recruiting for a family-owned custom embroideryand screen-printing company that supplies branded apparel andpromotional products for public and private sector employees, teams, andcommunity groups. This position supports the production department byproducing garments for staff, customers and outside third-party clients.Candidate will train under master decorators much like an apprentice,learning how to load art files to machine, properly align artwork andgarment for expected placement/look, hoop garments, thread machines, rungarments, mix inks, trim, fold and pack boxes. Additionally, candidatewill learn machine maintenance, how to select and use \'backing\'materials and hooping systems. Daily and Monthly Responsibilities: -Conduct product inventory checks for incoming projects daily - Operatemulti-needle embroidery machines - Design and create stitch patterns forembroidery projects on garments such as hats, jackets, etc. - Assistwith embroidery set up and cleanup such as trimming and steaminggarments - Operate manual and automated screen-printing press tocomplete jobs - Prep and clean screens - Sort, bag, and fold garments -Other miscellaneous produce on task - Oversee and achieve organizationalgoals while upholding best practices Preferred Skills andQualifications: - High School Diploma or Equivalent - English(Preferred)/Spanish - Written and verbal communication skills - Strongwork ethic - Team player - Experience sewing garments and otherapparel - Strong time-management skills and multitasking ability -Strong attention to detail, an eye for quality control - Thrives infast-paced, constantly changing environment - Problem-solving ability
