About Product Technologist, Software Product Management, Network and Edge BU

  Job Description

  Architects, designs and provides technical oversight and direction of the development of Intel cloud software product including system software, frameworks, protocols, algorithms, and applications, as well as software structure and validation direction.

  Researches and designs optimal end to end Edge Computing Solutions, cloud native, orchestration, enterprise, IoT, service mesh, networking, microservices, and/or distributed computing.

  Engages with major customers to understand use cases, participates in open source and standardization industry work to influence architectures and optimize software, and interacts with technologists and product managers across Intel to evaluate feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development.

  Makes high level design choices focused on manageability, scalability, usability, resiliency, availability, security, and/or safety for the software structure, protocols, and algorithms.

  Qualifications

  Preferred qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.

  Minimum Qualifications:

  10+ years of experience in software development and architecture.

  In-depth understanding of edge computing concepts, architectures, and best practices.

  Proven experience designing and implementing edge computing solutions for real-world applications.

  Designed and implemented a highly scalable microservices architecture based application.

  Solid understanding of networking principles and security best practices.

  Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in addressing challenges unique to edge computing.

  Willingness to stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and advancements in edge computing.

  Working Model

  This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
