About Product Owner

  Your Job Flint Hills Resources (FHR) is seeking a Product Owner to lead a Product team and partner closely with FHR core capabilities to deliver on a technology roadmap that transforms work processes. The goal of FHR's Business Focused technology roadmaps is to create competitive advantage through industry leading data management strategies and leveraging data to automate decision making. This is role is open to being remote or being a flexible hybrid role located at our Wichita, KS headquarters. Our Team Flint Hills Resources IT product teams create value for FHR by maximizing return on investments in technology by focusing on solving business problems and optimizing total cost of ownership. What You Will Do Product Roadmap: Develop a comprehensive product roadmap for Commercial products, aligning it with the organization's overall data strategy and business objectives Product Development Support: Assist in the development of product strategies and feature specifications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Software Engineering, Data Architecture, Solution Architecture, Support Team, etc to ensure seamless product development and delivery Agile Delivery: Leads a cross-functional agile team, consistently driving focus and strong outcomes User-Centric Approach: Advocate for the end-users and maintain a deep understanding of their needs and pain points. Incorporate user feedback into product planning and improvement efforts Testing and Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure product quality and conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate new features Market Research: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitors' offerings. Use data-driven insights to inform product decisions and prioritize features Stakeholder Management: Engage with Business Subject Matter Experts, to understand their data needs, gather feedback, and incorporate their requirements into the product development process Product Performance Monitoring: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of the product, track its performance, and identify opportunities for improvement Training and Documentation: Provide training and documentation for end-users to effectively leverage our products and maximize business outcomes Mentor and develop product analysts to deliver competitive results Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Experience as a Product Owner/Manager or in a similar role in managing data-related products or projects Experience translating stakeholder requirements into technical stories/cards Experience managing, prioritizing, and grooming a product backlog Experience with Agile software development frameworks Experience with market research and competitive analysis Experience conducting user acceptance testing Experience translating complex data-related challenges into actionable product strategies Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders What Will Put You Ahead Experience using query languages such as Cypher, SQL or VQL Knowledge of Open source and commercial RDBMS (MySQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle) This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. For this role, we anticipate paying $90,000 - $140,000 per year. This role may be eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form. At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
