About Product Manager - MySQL Heatwave

  Job Description

  This is your opportunity to help drive the growth of the world’s most popular open source database! As a member of the MySQL Product Management team, you will be responsible for the overall growth of the MySQL business. You will be focused on delivering features and capabilities for MySQL HeatWave, that directly impact the growth of our cloud customers and revenue.

  This is a REMOTE position based anywhere in the US with a preference for the Bay area.

  Responsibilities

  This role is highly collaborative, working with products managers, development engineers, support engineers and sales.

  Collaborate with customers and engineers on delivering innovative product features

  Own and evolve the product roadmap for your domains

  Engage stakeholders on necessary inputs for product strategy & roadmap, get buy-in, manage communications, expectations and dependencies

  Evangelize the product with blogs, demos, videos, social media, webinars, etc

  Speak at Conferences and Events

  Engage with key customers (onsite and virtual)

  Travel can be around 25%

  Is this opportunity right for you?

  We are looking for candidates who have:

  At least 7 years of Product Management or equivalent experience a s a MySQL DBA or Developer or SRE at a major web company.

  Demonstrated success and strong experience working with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, RDS, Aurora, Redshift, Snowflake.

  Experience operating and maintaining services at hyper-scale and corresponding system design

  Ability to define product strategy that achieves strong customer value and business outcomes

  Technically savvy with experience working with developers and architects to build scalable and highly reliant systems

  Excellent written and oral communication skills

  Demonstrated experience in gathering, defining and effectively capturing product requirements and transforming them into an actionable product roadmap

  BS/MS/MBA or equivalent experience

  Hiring Range: from $87,600 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

  Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

  Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  11 paid holidays

  Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
