Actalent Engineering is seeking qualified candidates to be considered for a Product Development Engineering position with a thermal solutions company that focuses in developing products for the defense industry. This person will be responsible for all aspects of a project throughout its life cycle. This includes concept generation, sales support, project management, customer interaction, budget control and potentially leading a small group of technicians who would be responsible for prototyping and test.

　　Below is a summary of responsibilities for this position:

　　Lifecycle product development of thermal products serving the defense industry

　　Work with customers on obtaining specifications for projects and generating concepts to satisfy customer need.

　　Work alongside sales to provide support to generated leads

　　Manage projects/product from infancy to completion

　　Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

　　Create mechanical designs, models and drawings using SolidWorks

　　FEA and CFD for analysis and simulation

　　Delegate/lead technicians in the prototyping and testing of products

　　Hands-on mechanical fabrication, measurement and quality testing to ensure quality requirements are being met

　　Below is a summary of requirements for qualified candidates:

　　Bachelor's Degree or Masters Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering

　　5+ years of experience in product development (preferably of a thermal related product)

　　Strong project/product development experience

　　Proficiency using a 3D CAD software (preferably SolidWorks)

　　Experience performing FEA and CFD

　　Hands-on fabrication, measurement and testing experience

　　Experience working within the defense industry (preferred but not required)
