JOB REQUIREMENTS: We are looking for a Co-op/Intern for Summer 2024 whocan work full-time, a combination of remote and onsite, with employmentstarting in May/June. The Intern/Co-op will prepare clear, complete andaccurate detail drawings, testing,Engineering Change Notices and Billsof Materials from rough or detailed sketches or notes provided byengineers or designers by performing the following duties.Responsibilities: *Upholds Andis Core Values of Excellence, Integrity,and Respect in allwork relatedactivities. *Process written EngineeringChange Requests. Engineering change requests include various 2D draftingwork, bill of material changes and the writing of an Engineering ChangeNotice. This work is being done under close direction from a designer orengineer. *Makes 2D AutoCAD drawings, checking dimension of parts,materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation ofvarious parts to whole structure or project. *Make assembly andexperimental drawings as required. *Utilizes knowledge of engineeringpractices, mathematics, and other physical sciences to completedrawings. *Draws finished 2D designs from sketches supplied by adesigner or engineer. *Uses AutoCAD software and Xerox plotter/printer.Uses Microsoft Word to generate Engineering Change Notice/Order. Queryand print bills of materials from the AS400 main computer. UsesMicrosoft Excel to assign new part numbers and draw/modify service partslists. *Has the ability tomake small design changes to 3D modelspreviously created using the Solid Works program. *Documentation andreporting skills to support the Product Engineering team as required.***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Requirements: *Must beenrolled in an accredited technical school studying toward anassociate/bachelor\'sdegree inMechanical Design orBiomedical/Biomechanical Engineering. Must have and maintain a minimumG.P.A. of 3.00/4.0. *Proficient in MS Office, preferably Word andExcel. Experience with AutoCAD is a plus. *Ability to read andinterpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technicalprocedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write EngineeringChange Notices and business correspondence. Ability to effectivelypresent information and respond to questions from Engineers, Designers,supervisors and peers. *Ability to work with mathematical concepts suchas probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane andsolid geometry and trigonometry.
