Blue Rose Consulting is seeking a Process Analyst to support our work with a federal client in Washington, DC. This is a Hybrid role and is open to U.S. Citizens ONLY.
Successful candidates will be required to have an Active Secret Security clearance.
In this role you will:
Provide Information Technology Governance Support to the Department of State (DOS), Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA), Office of Consular Systems and Technology (CST)
Make recommendations for process improvements and develop target-state process designs, develop implementation plans/roadmaps, and continually revise and report on process efficiencies and redundancies
Develop and deliver updated process, policy and procedures documents
Support CST's Annual Statement of Assurance process documentation requirements
Conduct and document process evaluations against established performance metrics, recommend corrective actions, and conduct lessons-learned sessions
Support the Government in monitoring project teams for adherence to policies and procedures.
Perform all other Process Improvement activities as directed by the COR/GTM
Review CST's current Knowledge Management processes and Systems, including SharePoint, as well as review existing knowledge management documentation with the view to making improvements
Recommend improvements to CST's Knowledge Management systems
Develop and administer automated workflows and manage related repositories
Facilitate lessons learned sessions and document lessons learned for distribution and storage and identify recommendations for further process improvement based on lessons learned;
Create process documentation/workflows, knowledge articles and self-service guidance for IT Services
Collect and document of business requirements for project and process improvement/automation efforts
Facilitate process workflow modeling in order to collaborate on process improvements, automation capabilities and clearly defined end-to-end use cases
Review information and trends to ensure that the output of processes are achieving the desired results and that services are meeting agreed-upon service levels
Conduct maturity assessments against the process activities to highlight areas of improvement or concerns
Track major incident management process and ensure adherence of the process and escalation requirements within the various support and delivery areas
Evaluate business operations, workflows, and requirements to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
Create process models, such as process maps and flowcharts, to illustrate the flow of activities, inputs, and outputs of the process
Develop impact assessments and analyze the Return on Investment (ROI) for system improvements
Communicate findings, recommendations, and progress to stakeholders and simplify complex information as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must have:
1-5 years’ experience in similar role
Analytical skills to identify trends, patterns, and inefficiencies in business processes
Project management skills to effectively plan and execute process improvement projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex information and technical concepts
Effective problem-solving skills to develop and evaluate alternative solutions
Solid business acumen and understanding of financial analysis and project management principles
Technical skills, such as proficiency in flowcharting software, statistical analysis tools, and spreadsheet software, to support process analysis and improvement initiatives
Preferred Experience:
Knowledge and understanding of the State Department, Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA), the Office of Consular Systems and Technology (CST)
Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
Salary: $70,000 – $105,000, Depending on Experience
