　　Insight Global is actively hiring a variety of Electrical, Mechanical, and Structural Designers to support newly acquired Navy and Coast Guard programs to support a major client. Our client is currently undertaking multiple new programs that will be the start of decade long work on over 5 different ships and submarines, with that they are very eager to hire talented Designers at all levels to come join the team and be a part of this exciting new chapter. With the rapid growth there will be plenty of opportunity to move up in every team and accelerate your career fast! We are looking for candidates with experience across these disciplines that will be assisting in developing 2D designs and 3D models using tools such as ShipConstructor (not required) and AutoCAD. The ideal candidate has a background in ship, shipyard, aerospace, oil and gas, or similar industries as these programs require complex design structures. 　　This role sits in Mobile, AL and requires candidates to be onsite as they design and develop the next generation of shipyard construction and ships! Mobile, Alabama sits right on the gulf coast and is a destination known for its close accessibility to beachside vacation spots, New Orleans, and the panhandle of Florida! In the city of Mobile, you will find a classic French downtown with deep roots in Mardi Gras tradition. Funky, feisty, and festive. Historic, hip, and happening. Or colorful, cool and cultured. 　　Position Summary: Due to continued growth, one of Insight Global's major clients is seeking Mid and Senior Level Mechanical Designers with a background in Ship Building, Ship Construction, Aerospace, or Oil and Gas in Mobile, Alabama. Responsibilities include:

　　* Responsible for 2D drawing development and 3D modeling.

　　Skills and Requirements

　　Required Qualifications / skills

　　* High School Diploma or equivalent required.

　　* Associates Degree or higher in CAD preferred.

　　* Years of Drafting and Design Experience

　　LEVEL 1Associates or 2+ years of 2D and 3D design using AutoCAD or similar tools

　　LEVEL 23-4 years of 2D and 3D design using AutoCAD or similar tools

　　LEVEL 3 -5- 10 years of 2D and 3D design using AutoCAD or similar tools

　　LEVEL 4 -10+ years2D and 3D design using AutoCAD or similar tools, requires ship/shipyard experience

　　o Designer IV: 10+ years of shipyard design (MUST BE SHIPYARD TO QUALIFY)

　　* Experience using 2D and 3D AutoCAD

　　* Computer literate with 2D and 3D AutoCAD

　　* Familiar with concrete and steel design codes and with working stress and ultimate strength design approaches * Experience with ShipConstructor null
