  Minimum Hiring Wage:

  From $32.53 per hour

  Job Details:

  Scheduled Hours: Monday - Friday (8am - 4:30pm)

  Job Description:

  Responsible for all aspects of Pre-Access Services which includes pre-registration, verification of eligibility benefits, securing Medical Necessity and obtaining prior authorizations when required. Makes clinical decisions based on established criteria and regulatory requirements, assures compliance with all state and federal rules/regulations pertaining to insurance carriers. Maintains up-to-date, accurate information regarding which payors/exams require a prior-authorization and communicates that knowledge to clinicians and/or management for distribution. Communicates with payers regarding ongoing re-authorizations and requests for additional visits when necessary. Monitor and manage the KX modifier threshold and G-Codes attached to documentation. Other duties as assigned to ensure patient access management and to maximize the revenue cycle.

  Qualifications:

  Required

  ADN or BSN degree

  Minimum of five (5) years of health care experience in hospital or provider office

  Registered Nurse with current license in the state of Iowa

  Maintains current licensure/ certification/ registration

  Computer experience

  Medical Terminology

  Preferred

  Prior authorization experience
