Job Description:
The Principle Structural Analysis, will work in the Structures group based out of the Canoga Park facility.
The department’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Determination of structural acceptability of designs and non conforming hardware
Utilize a combination of commercial and in-house developed software tools, and/or hand calculation methods to correlate analysis models, review test results, present results at program reviews, and preparing technical documentation.
Perform finite element analysis and modeling with the primary tool being ANSYS. Understanding of fatigue and fracture along with proficiency in performing these types of analyses
Provide input on the products' ability to satisfy internal structural requirements, as well as those flowed by the customer.
Report status and results of analysis tasks at design reviews and program reviews
Essential Functions:
Perform structural analysis of space system rotating machinery as a recognized authority in an engineering specialty area. Emphasis will be on analysis requiring knowledge of strength analysis, fatigue and fracture. Responsible for utilizing a combination of commercial and in-house developed software tools, and/or hand calculation methods to correlate analysis models and review test data.
Strengthens the technical capacity of the Company and facilitates transfer of technology by mentoring less experienced engineers and team members.
Produce analysis reports and test reports. Present analysis to both internal and external customers.
Support design reviews, program boards and reviews. Work with designers and project engineers by providing analysis support.

Candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or the equivalent combination of education and a minimum of 12 years of experience
Strong background in structural analysis
High proficiency in ANSYS finite element modeling and analysis
Strong knowledge of fatigue and fracture analysis
Preferred Additional Skills:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace or engineering related field
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $80,000 - $320,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
