Job Summary:
Teledyne Technologies provides skilled trades services to major corporations in North America. We specialize in research and development, manufacturing operations, plant shut downs and building maintenance.
Our skilled trades include Tool and Die Makers, Instrumentation Techs, Multi-Craftsman , Machinists, Pipe-fitters, Carpenters, Electricians, Work Coordinators, EH&S, Welders, Preventative Maintenance Technicians , Planners, Glass Blowers and others.
Detailed Description:
Formal training in Instrumentation with the ability to operate, test, repair, maintain and calibrate mechanical equipment. Includes calibration equipment on ventilation systems for safety checks.
strong knowledge in calibrating instruments of flow
pressure and level transmitters
thermocouples
heaters
temperature controllers
workable knowledge of test meters
mechanical systems and fabrication
Analytical equipment troubleshooting/design and build
Requirements:
Two-year degree in a scientific field of study or journeyman license
Preferred five years of experience in instrumentation, including experience in installing, calibrating, maintaining and repairing equipment
Demonstrated use and understanding of physical standards of mass, temperature flow and pressure.
Working knowledge of computers.
Required ability to be able to read and work from blueprints, schematic diagrams and specification manuals.
Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance
Must be able to work with various researchers in different locations
Installation of mechanical piping systems
Mechanical airflow and control of installation measurement
