This trainingprogram may be completed in as few as 18 months or as many as 30 months(with manager approval), depending on the participant\'s pace ofprogress. Upon graduating from the program, the participant will befully qualified and accountable to assume the duties and receive thecompensation of an experienced Operator. Become proficient in print andmanufacturing terminology. Work closely with the management team tounderstand and assist with implementing action plans to achievedepartment objectives. Assume a leadership role in directing crewactivities to meet production deadlines safely and efficiently. Producea quality product that exceeds our customer\'s expectations, followingthe requirements of documented processes as defined in the QualityManagement System. Assist management with supporting and implementingContinuous Improvement initiatives, departmental maintenance activities,training, safety and special projects. Assists with training of newemployees and directs all crew activities connected with the operationof the press. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of chemicals andmaterials used in production, their interactions, danger signs, anddisposal methods. Adhere to and promote all safety policies andprocedures including, but not limited to the proper handling ofhazardous waste, lock out - tag out rules and eye protection policies.Reinforce safety training and safe work practices; participate in safetymeetings.
