Oversee all operations and locationsof the division to achieve goals and objectives, including the companyssecondary marketing unit, and assist the Arvest Bank Portfolio/ALCOManager with mortgage risk hedging policies and implementation ofspecific strategies. Coordinate all hardware and software selection andimplementation with the Arvest IT and Product teams to ensure optimalintegration and support (as needed).
Lead and coordinate strategic planning, including the plan of actionconcerning sales and purchases, sourcing new business, and managinginvestor and GSE relations.
Represent AMD in industry and government relations by activelyparticipating with business, civic, and governmental leaders to developthe companies at the community, state, and national levels (FNMA, FHLMC,MBA).
Review, assess, and manage an effective mortgage compliance program,including QC functions and overall customer relations and qualityefforts. Establish effective operating guidelines, which will permitappropriate delegation of responsibility and authority to officers andnon-officer associates and maintain an effective system of internalcontrols.
Interact with Local Bank Presidents, Loan Managers and Sales Managers toidentify goals through quarterly and monthly meetings to build strongrelationships and mutual strategies.
In conjunction with the Marketing Division and other senior officers,the President/CEO is accountable for designing, developing, andformulating a marketing program, plus a sales effort capable ofpermitting the division to attain their short- and long-range goals andobjectives. Lead the sales and business development efforts for theMortgage product and supervise the overall customer relations andquality efforts. Attend and contribute to the Presidents Group meetings.
Working closely with the Mortgage CFO and Arvest Bank CFO, ensure thedevelopment and management of critical financial matters, such as thecompanys budgets, capital appropriations, and long-range financialplans. Ensure proper annual and interim reports are provided to thecompanys board of directors. Coordinate financial activities closelywith the Arvest Finance Division. Recommend any significantstructural/management changes in the mortgage division to the RegionalExecutive for Enhanced Banking Services.
In conjunction with the Chief People Officer, Director(s) of AssociateRelations, and other senior management, ensures that the mortgagedivision possesses the human resource talent required to attain theobjectives, goals, and plans approved by the Board. Provide the mortgagedivision with a leadership style and management system that contributesto a highly motivational work climate for associates at all companylevels and provides needed training, effective performance evaluations,and people development.
The President/CEO manages the mortgage servicing portfolio to maximizeyield and ensure adequate customer service and portfolio growth withintolerance levels as a percentage of bank capital set forth by the AMDboard of directors. Maintains current knowledge of mortgageopportunities, regulations, etc. Coordinate closely with the ArvestPortfolio/ALCO Manager and Arvest Bank CFO on acquiring, disposing, andvaluation of the mortgage servicing rights.
Serve on various committees and related meetings and activities, such asmanagement, loans, and other committees, as necessary.
Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and thebank\'s BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includesbut is not limited to completing compliance training and adhering tointernal procedures and controls; reporting any known violations ofcompliance policy, laws, or regulations; and reporting any suspiciouscustomer and/or account activity.
