We are seeking anexperienced Fleet Maintenance Mechanic for our customer, CountyMaterials. Military service members and veterans are encouraged toapply. Job Duties Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment. Schedule andperform mechanical, hydraulic and/or pneumatic repairs on equipment asneeded. Ensure safety guidelines are followed at all times and properlydocumented Provide emergency & unscheduled repairs of equipment Performgeneral purpose steel fabrication and welding. Read and interpretequipment manuals in order to perform necessary repairs and/or equipmentservice. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters,material handling equipment, welders and torches in performing duties.Maintain working areas in clean and orderly condition. Obtain quotes onparts and supplies and install parts to machinery as needed. Communicatewith vendors to ensure equipment is properly maintained and installed.Communicate with dispatch and shop staff to schedule equipment formaintenance Work Environment Work in indoor and outdoor weatherconditions, including extreme hot or cold temperatures Work near movingmachinery and equipment - could include electrical hazards Work in anoisy environment Physical Requirements Sitting Carrying/Lifting 10 - 40Pounds Standing / Walking / ClimbingSquatting/Crouching/Kneeling/Bending Pushing / Pulling / Reaching AboveShoulder Experience & Qualifications 2+ years\' experience in dieselmechanics. Pro-active, multi-tasked, self-motivated team player andpositive attitude is a must.
