Your role:
Reporting to Masahiro Sakurada – Operations Director, you will be the first Presales specialist at Packcity Japan (Quadient). We’ll be relying on your experience in Presales combined with your analytical skills, to provide technical solutions to new & existing partners. This is an exciting opportunity for you to join and add value to a dedicated and friendly team, in a role where you’ll be an independent contributor that has a lot of cross functional engagements.
You will develop an excellent understanding and knowledge of our solutions (Hardware & Software), supporting the sales team, attending meetings with clients to determine technical and business requirements, ensuring that all necessary information is collated prior to producing a solution. You’ll deliver technical presentations, explaining and discussing the features and configuration possibilities regarding the product, analysing, and finding the best compromise with the customer regarding their needs; you’ll also deliver training on solutions and provide product support to channel partners and internal stakeholders.
You will lead partners, customers, and carriers on their path to new projects clarifying needs and wants regarding system/technical requirements and you’ll work on the integration of these needs inside our development roadmap, accompanying customers in the deployment of new/features and services, and organising/participating in tests/demonstrations.
You’ll support integration and development of local projects, creating specification documents in English/Japanese for new projects, synchronising with Japan IT and R&D to confirm projects content/updates/schedule. You will also work with Product Management to feedback on issues with current products and provide input around new products, preparing, participating and illustrating meetings with both parties helping smooth the communications.
Finally, you will support system development, staying alert on the development of group releases, new software versions & server updates, and you’ll analyse new developments, assessing the need to update PCJ’s test program with R&D as well as reassuring partners by providing timely and precise information.
What you bring:
You have proven success and experience in Technical Presales or as an IT system engineer within an international technology organisation.
You can demonstrate your ability to showcase and tailor solutions based on a customer's problem and you possess excellent strategic thinking.
Managing complex projects and multi-tasking comes naturally to you; you have excellent organizational skills and problem-solving skills.
You are a self-motivated person with strong communication skills and interpersonal skills, and you can flourish with minimal guidance; you’re proactive and can handle uncertainty.
You can demonstrate proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
You are fluent in both verbal and written Japanese with business level English.
