We are looking for a someone with experience as a Product or Innovation Manager within a Marketing Consumer Goods or Personal Care environment to join Edgewell Personal Care – a global consumer goods business with a portfolio of over 25 brands (Wilkinson Sword, Schick, Hawaiian Tropic, Carefree, Bulldog Skincare for Men, Jack Black and recently acquired Cremo Grooming… just to name a few!).

This role will lead the European agenda for Incremental Innovation (from optimization & renovation changes to line extensions and pack restages) to ensure our products remain relevant and a source of delight to consumers.

Here’s a sample of what you’ll get up to:
•Identifying new opportunities to improve our portfolio by monitoring consumer perceptions & experience, market trends and competitor moves as well as collaborating with our local Markets across Europe to understand their needs. This also includes identifying strategies to simplify existing portfolios (incl. renovations) to drive greater cost efficiency.
•Delivering the end-to-end process for Incremental Innovation: from identifying insights & uncovering strategic opportunities to developing a business case, concept ideation & testing, product ideation, project management of product development, pack design and pricing recommendations.
•Collaborating closely with the Brand Manager, ensuring innovation elements fit with brand positioning and product & pricing hierarchy as well as partnering on launch messaging development and channel approach. This includes co-developing internal launch documents and materials.
•Contributing to the growth strategy and innovation 3-year roadmap for the brand
•Representing the brand at Innovation forums, including business case approval by Regional VP and sharing plans at the Men’s/Women’s shaving Incremental Innovation Forums
•Engaging markets on new projects and ensuring their successful performance by collaborating with Brand, local marketing and sales teams to support launch plans and drive sustained results. This will include partnering with the Portfolio Coordinator & local markets to ensure the tracking of launch initiatives and delivering recommendations for adjustments where required.
•Collaborating with Technical, Regulatory and Legal functions to drive innovation-related operations and ensure compliance of our internal policies
•Managing design agencies by building a trust relationship, delivering inspiring briefs and ensuring they deliver on time and on budget
Are You Ready to Show Us What You’ve Got?
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Product or Innovation Manager. Ideally, you’ll have experience gained within a Consumer Goods or Personal Care business.
Here’s what we are looking for:
• Solid experience in marketing: including agency management and proposition development, from insight to concept, execution and performance evaluation.
• Commercial mindset: must be able to demonstrate the commercial impact of their past work.
• Strong communication & influencing skills: must be an engaging, clear presenter and able to build relationships at all levels.
• Proactive: able to work independently and make things happen.
• Excellent project manager: organised and able to multi-task across multiple different projects.
• Change management: able to drive change management across multiple markets across Europe.
• Curious with a flair for identifying new solutions.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent or similar.
English and French language skills are a must.
