About The OpportunityAssist and support the Operator inkeeping the equipment running efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Thefollowing duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may performsome or all of these duties, however, it is not an exclusive orall-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned. Demonstrate commitmentto safety and performs job duties in accordance with company safetypolicies and procedures. Understand job ticket information to determinequantity, special work instructions, and any other special customerrequirements. Determine the best manufacturing method to produce productefficiently and effectively. Assist with set-ups and operation of theprinting press. Maintain high efficiency according to established ratesduring operation of the assigned equipment. Troubleshoot and makedecisions regarding the quality of finished product. Complete requiredquality inspections and paperwork. Work with peers and other departmentsto improve quality and performance. Contribute to overtime needs to meetcustomer demands. Play an active role in the maintenance and cleanlinessof the assigned press and surrounding area. Understand departmentcommunication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and jobreporting requirements. Actively participate in Lean manufacturinginitiatives. Become certified as back-up Secondary Operator. (must starttraining with operator by 6 months in position and complete trainingchecklist by 12 months in position) Act as Secondary Operator duringvacations, leave of absences, etc., on all shifts as needed. Performother duties as assigned by management.
