　　GMC Prep School announces an opening for a Middle School Band teacher for the 2024-25 school year. Georgia Military College Prep School is a K - 12th grade public, independent, military, college-preparatory school with a mission to develop the intellect and elevate the character of the 850+ students we serve.

　　The middle school band director at GMC will be responsible for teaching 6th - 8th grade band classes, as well as a senior elective class as a part of the normal school day. The middle school band performs several concerts throughout the year, participates in District, Region, and All-State Honor Bands, and performs at the GMEA Large Group Performance Evaluation. The middle school band director will also assist the high school band program with the marching band throughout the year.

　　The teaching position is full-time with a 10-month (190-day) contract and comes with a state-based salary, State Benefits, and membership in TRS.

　　Preferences:

　　1-3 years of Middle School teaching experience

　　Experience in marching/teaching corps-style marching

　　Proficiency in teaching beginning band students
