Pennsylvania Hospital is searching for a Per Diem PSG tech to join the team! This tech will be working 7pm-7am, 2 shifts per week. There is no holiday or weekend requirement.
Summary:
The PRN Polysomnographic Technologist/Technician performs comprehensive polysomnographic testing, analysis and associated interventions the general supervision of a Team Leader (RPSGT) and/or Medical Director. The technologist/technician will assist with diagnostic, therapeutic services, patient care, and education.
Responsibilities:

Returns phone calls and emails promptly.
Attends meetings as requested.
Is politically sensitive to clients/patients environment.
Demonstrates Professionalism within the framework of Relationship Based Care (Patient-Centered Care).
Identify the competencies required for each patient population that the employee works with (neonate, child, adolescent, young adult, middle adult and older adult).
Participates in Entity and Department wide initiatives for Patient/Employee safety.
Demonstrates an awareness of patient/ employee safety when carrying out daily responsibilities of their position.
Validation of annual competencies required for the position.
Credentials:
Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or registry eligible technicians are required to possess completion of the A-Step Program
BCLS required
Education or Equivalent Experience:
Certified by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or registry eligible technicians are required to possess completion of the A-Step Program.
Polysomnographic training in a hospital setting with experience and/or 3-5 years experience in polysmnography is an asset.
Demonstrates the ability to work effectively with patients and all levels of hospital personnel.
