DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:The PMO Manager is responsible for planning, executing and managing delivery of projects in support of all Global Corporate Services (GCS) departments, and is responsible for complete management of the GCS Project Management Office (PMO) team. This role will drive project portfolio management including setting a strategic portfolio roadmap, project planning and execution, portfolio risk and issue management, and reporting. You will work closely with GCS leadership and other key stakeholders. You will also directly manage individual projects from inception to completion.Successful candidates will be highly organized self-starters, adept at managing shifting priorities and deadlines in a dynamic and uniquely structured, highly decentralized environment. We seek collaborative individuals who are skilled at facilitating cross-team communication and working with a variety of roles and work styles. Flexibility in the application of project management methodologies to each specific initiative is critical. Candidates will be skilled at a consultative approach to balancing the needs of leadership, stakeholders, committees, and a variety of internal clients.This role reports to the Senior Manager, Programs and IT Business Operations, in the GCS IT department.RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage the PMO team and the project management function to support all GCS departments.Work with other department leaders and managers to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs.Create, maintain, and ensure adherence to the PMO team's policies, procedures, and methods of project execution. Apply continuous improvement to the team's ways of working.Implement and manage project management governance and standards for the team.Develop and grow the agile abilities of the team, both from a training perspective and a practical execution perspective. Find ways to integrate tailored agile approaches into more projects (projects that are often not standard software development).Coach, mentor, and grow project managers on the team by providing regular, meaningful feedback. Provide guidance and be able to present and train on project management best practices.Directly manage projects, acting as a project manager yourself. Typically, this will be on very large, complex projects, often dealing with enterprise systems and processes.Manage any third-party solutions required by the PMO team (e.g., Sensei PPM).Create or improve existing project management tools and templates.Ensure issues and risks are managed, mitigated and consistently communicated to leadership with understanding of impact to the project and other work efforts.Manage resource capacity on an ongoing basis and mitigate resource availability related risks.Identify, track, and report on PMO metrics to GCS IT leadership.Develop and establish project manager levels based on role competencies and project size.SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:PMP certification.The ideal candidate must have minimum 7 years of progressive project management experience.The ideal candidate must have minimum 2 years of experience with managing project managers as direct reports.The ideal candidate must have expert knowledge and direct experience in using all of traditional/waterfall, hybrid, and agile project methodologies, techniques, and processes.Must have the ability to manage multiple projects and a team of project managers simultaneously.Must have the ability to manage and develop project managers at various levels.Must have the ability to synthesize complex concepts into easily understood ideas and visuals.Must have skilled at accomplishing results collaboratively in a cross-functional organization.Must have strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Must be a team player with an adaptable leadership and communication st
