This full-time position will be responsible for supporting and leading key tasks for multiple projects focused on land use, downtown revitalization, environmental planning, complete streets, waterfront revitalization, resiliency, comprehensive planning, brownfield redevelopment, open space planning, zoning, grant writing and municipal planning support. Creative community engagement is at the heart of our planning processes. MJ planners work closely with other disciplines within the company such as transportation, GIS, site/civil engineering, landscape architecture, and water/wastewater engineering to prepare consensus-driven, reality-based plans that are implementable. Qualifications: • Opportunity available for candidates with 3 or more years of experience in Planning or related field • Bachelor’s degree in planning or a planning related field is required. • Master’s degree in planning or related field and AICP is preferred. • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required. • Familiarity with ESRI ArcGIS, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and/or SEQRA is desired.Pay is based on applicant’s experience and will be rated accordingly.
