Acts as a daily resource for thetechnicians and provides guidance regarding technical and operationalinformation. In addition, provides technical and clerical assistance tothe pharmacist in the processing of medication orders and the monitoringof drug therapy. May procure, measure, compound, count, and delivermedications under the supervision of a pharmacist. Functions within theguidelines of the Wisconsin Statutes and Administrative Code - PharmacyExamining Board - Pharmacy Practice Sections. Other duties as assigned.EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: Minimum of 3 years\' experience as a pharmacytechnician is preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High School diploma orequivalent is required. Graduate of an accredited pharmacy techniciantraining program is preferred. TRAINING DESCRIPTION: Leadership trainingis preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Exceptional customer serviceskills. Proven ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group.Proven attention to detail. Outstanding organizational and follow-upskills. Proven leadership skills. Experience with various computersystems and programs. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: Application for Wisconsinregistration as a Pharmacy Technician is required by hire date and mustbe obtained within 12 months of hire. Staff hired into this role priorto 3/31/23 must have applied for Wisconsin registration by 3/31/23 andhave until 3/31/24 to obtain registration. Certification as a PharmacyTechnician (CPhT) through passing the Pharmacy Technician CertificationBoards exam (PTCE) or the National Healthcareer Associations exam(ExCPT) is required within 6 months of hire.
